PROM 2012

 

Here are some of the pictures from my school leavers prom. I went with my group of super close girl friends plus some of our guy friends.  As you can see it is a halterneck dress with cut outs on the back, it was beautiful and i felt like a princess with its train. Im not to sure if you can see from the picture but all around the neck and back, the dress is hand embellish with sequins ect. My prom dress, i think was really un me. As im not the biggest fan of the colour pink, all girly glitz and glam. I didn't want such a bold eye catching dress as that not really me but oh well i did in the end and i loved the dress to pieces. The dress is a one-off hand made design especially for me. This is because my grand dad had a contact in china, whomb i showed a design of a dress i liked to and she adapted it for me.  Jsscclm

Turkey 2012

Here are some of the outfits i wore whilst i was away in Turkey with my family. This year i found that i prefer to wear skirts and dresses rather than shorts, as i find them slightly more girly and much easier to wear with anything. 

One of my favorite pieces to wear this summer was a dipped hem skirt. Here you can see my mint blue one from zara which i love. I think that these types of skirts can either by quite casual or smart depending on what you wear them with. (super diverse)

Holaaaa bloggas,
I know i have been soo mia recently, i had my gcse then prom and then i was in turkey. I didn't have time ti think let a lone blog. But its all good im back and going to blog religiously. I've given my blog a little tlc i hope you all like it, the background is a picture of one of the walls in my room.

001. This week has been the longest and most stressful week of my life; i have had my final gcse french speak (fingers crossed it went super well) and i had my textiles gcse coursework all due in, as well as my children's dress that i have made for my little sister. (will do a post if i get time)

002. Haven't really had much of a social life recently because of work and all that so i went out last night with my friends to a dubstep event and i maybe drank a little too much, which i regret as there is a picture of me at this place with my bum hanging out of my shorts, im mortified and most defiantly taking the shorts back haha major el oh el :(

003. Nothing really interesting has been happening with me, love all my new followers i appreciate you all soo much! I cant really think of what to say as i had about 3/4 hours sleep and i have no idea why. I have had the most unproductive day EVER, i have done nothing, i sat in front of the tele from 7-12ish and watched the marathon, then started with the classic topgun- amazing, i cant believe i have never seen it before.

Sorry really crap picture, not feeling well enough to bring a camera to my face! 

001. Hope you have all been having great holidays, im so sad that they are coming to an end because i cant think of anything worse than going back to school. Biggest grown ever... I have my final french speaking exam coming up in the next couple of days and learning 2 pages of foreign language is proving quite a challenge at the moment, as well as me losing my voice. Sorry for the moans and groans, for all of you that have any exams coming up i wish you all lots of luck. 

002. What have i done this week... Oh revision, revision and oh yea more revision fml. I cant wait until everything is over and i have the summer, im so excited for the next coming months and the sun! i popped into town this week and picked up a new lush dipped hem skirt (from Zara again) and its a shade of peppermint, gorgeous for the summer. ( i know, im slacking and need to do an outfit post, but i haven't because when im at home doing my work i just want to be comfy and worm!) 

003. i don't really have anything else to say to all of my lovely followers to be honest, ive had a a dull week. The only remotely interesting thing i have done all week was when i had my friends round for drinks and games and abit of banter last night.

Hello beautiful people, i love all of my new followers i appreciate you following my blog SO much!
001. Happy Easter Everyone, and Happy Birthday to myself for Tuesday (just past) My photos that will be posted tomorrow are of my birthday presents, i love them all so much, there dead lush. I got a black canon and new pair of ray bans, which i cant wait to wear when we get some more sunshine!
002. Hope you are all having lovely Easter holidays and doing lots of fun and exciting things. I've been stuck at home for the majority of the time revising for all of my up and coming exams major grown. However i did manage to go out on my birthday evening to a party my friend was having, as it was my birthday i arrived fashionable late but when i arrived my close friend got everyone to sing me happy birthday, i could have died. Im not one to have the attention of everyone, especially to sing to me, oh well i guess it was nicish in a way.
003. Im really not feeling many garms in the shops atm, i cant seem to find anything. I am in love with dipped hem skirts though, i find them soo easy and comfy to wear; i picked one up last week in zara, (will be shown to you tomorrow) Its such a lush colour. (jade green)
004. My rents are going away tomorrow on a road trip for a week with my little sister, so im staying with my aunt for a couple of days and may not be able to do an outfit post which sucks.
005. Hope your all having a lovely day and overindulging on chocolate. I have decided that im going on a major healthy eating diet as from tomorrow because i really want to lose a load of lbs.

My Weeks In Photos

Im so sorry that i have been soo mia recently, i dont even know where the time has gone. It feels like it has been months since i have last posted,. Anyways, here are just a couple of pictures from the things i have been doing over the past few weeks.

I had a fancy dress fun run for sports relief, so me and my friends decide to go as mario's and luigi, it was abit of banter, but the weather that day was so cold and those suits were like wearing a sheet of sweaty polyester and nothing else!

My whole family got together for a take away chinese, which was lovely and that was for a late mothers day because everyone was busy.

The pics of me are from when i went out last friday to a music event in town, when for abit of a 'rock n roll' look with my leather jacket, and snake print top. I love that top so much, picked it up in toppers a couple of seasons ago. You cant see them ( i must take a picture of them to show you) but i wore my new black wedges, which was the biggest mistake considering it was a dubstep event, oh well they looked pretty amazing. I wore my wedges with black socks, mainly because they were slightly uncomfortable, but i thought it actually looked quite rock/prep in a way.

It was also my little sisters birthday, i cant believe she is 6 already, time really does fly.

I did a carboot sale with my friend yesterday, was hilarious! i just took a load of crap from under my bed and made £80. We nipped into town quickly and i picked up this really cute cropped hem skirt from zara in a jade green shade, its lush ill have to do a post on it some time- when i have some time.

Not to mention its my birthday tomorrow too!!

SEMAINE PORTRAIT DIMANCHE 5

001. Im soo tired, this is the first time all day i think i have actually sat down for longer than 5 minuets. Hope everyone has had a great day with the mothers etc.. I know i keep going on about my exams and everything and that must be really dull for you to read and im so sorry but, i must tell you all that i had my college interview this week THREE HOURS must i mention! and i got an unconditional position. That basically means there are no conditions that i must for fill in order for me to be accepted because i have already got everything i need well mostly.. And i was actually quite nervous wen my mum dropped me off there and i could see all these other girls that looked really into fashion and profession and then there was me sat there in my school uniform because my big brother took my there at lunch time. Turns out i talked the best game though, being the only girl given a unconditional position. When we had the actual interviews though i was the last, so when i was sat thee waiting one of the other girls came and sat next to me (she had just had hers) and she was telling me what they said, the interviewer said a question on natural and synthetic fabrics and i wasnt too sure on the answers so i wrote them on my hand! Sorry, the above must had made you want to fall asleep :)
002. had my school fun run on friday, everyone runs/walks 5k in fancy dress and my friends and i went in mario and luigi costumes it was the funniest thing ever, will post photos of them and others during the week, hopefully.
003. Finally went shopping today hoping to finally spend some money but... Nothing, i bloddy ate going shopping and not finding anything its the most anything thing ever, thats why im far more into internet shopping atm because i don't really know what i want and it far easier. I was looking for a dropped hem skirt i can not find one anyway for love nor money please comment and tell me if you see one.
004. I am trying to eat healthier for summer and all that, during the week its okay but its just at weekends i just crack and give in. It properly doesn't help that my mum made brownies this morning! But i find it really handy to have cut up fruit and veg in the fridge as its there and easy to just munch on instead of something 10x's worse.

SEMAINE PORTRAIT DIMANCHE 4

001. I cant really decide whether this has been a fast week or a slow week really for me, either way i still cant believe we are heading into the middle of march, its crazy. Haven't really had the most productive of weeks as i fell i haven't actually achieved many things i want to do. 

002. Its official i literary don't have a social life outside of my bedroom, all week end (bar Saturday when i was working) i have been in my room writing aimlessly for various pieces of work and course all due within a matter of days. I have my college interview on Wednesday, im slightly nervous as its around 3 hours long and i have no idea what i will be doing or how i should prepare myself, help? 

003. I have been looking everywhere for the perfect prom dress, at first i want a Cinderella princess dress, where it is just huge and all that; but now i think i have changed my mind and want a more elegant and sophisticated ball gown type dress and i have no idea why, i just think it will suit me better. Ideally i would like a backless dress, personally i think they are just so chic and gorgeous.

001- Havent really don anything too interesting this week really, its been abit of  slow one if im honest. I got my letter from college and i am to attend a meeting for 3 ish hours next week and apparently i have to do numerous test ect on english and maths, i have no idea what they have to do with with fashion and textiles but oh well. I shall keep you all posted on how it all pans out. (fingers crossed very well)
002- I lead such an interesting life at the moment...not. This weekend i have been working, babysitting and revising; this seems to have been all my life has consisted on recently, oh dear i really not too get a life.
003- I havent really been shopping much but ive been browsing the internet for a drop back skirt, i love the style of them and i cant find one that is have decent anywhere. Any recommendations? please comment and let me know
004- Yep, i don't have anything else relevant left to say, that is only if you think my blab above is actually interesting. Sorry ive been slightly dry i have many things on my plate atm. Well i will make myself blog during the week and stop being lazy, hope you have a wonderful week

SEMAINE PORTRAIT DIMANCHE 2

001-Heyy guys hope you all had an amazingly productive week. Sorry i havent blogged at all i don't know where the time went. I have so much on my plate atm im sooo tired. I have a week to finish making my dress and have all its paper work up to date-never going to happen
002- I got my interview date for college this week, i am slightly nervous and i don't know why but apparently the fashion and textiles course i want to do is majorly over subscribed this year so i really need to up my game and get drawing right away. (btw its on 7th march) So im all up tight about that as well. Sorry for the moan and grunt tonight!
003- I told you guys i broke up with m boyfriend on valentines day major el o el but i went on my first date you could call it since i broke up with my ex. It was really good actually we went to the cinema and back to his ect.. But i was really nervous because i didn't know what to wear because i wasn't sure what he was expecting and all that. So i just kept it simplish shorts, tights, layered top and long waist coat.
004- I have a post i want to do on a teen vogue book i have, will hopefully do that this week if i have time. Sorry no outfit posts this week.

SEMAINE PORTRAIT DIMANCHE 1

001. I actually feel like someone has taken all of my emotions and stuck them into a jar and shaken then because i feel so confused right now with everything and i don't know what to do.
002. I have had abit of a slow day today, been slightly down as i have to go back to school tomorrow and i ave so much to do as i did zero percentage of the work i have to do. (expect from my french) And if anyone reading this is doing or has done a textiles gcse you will know that there is so much course work and i am so pissed of at myself because i was in a rush to get some seams over-locked before had to go to my next lesson and then messed up the whole seam on one side of my dress. I was positively fuming at myself because i like to make everything perfect that i do. I guess some people would say that's a bad thing but i cant help but feel that way. Its making me feel tense just writing about it now and it happened to weeks ago!
003. I don't think i will be able to blog during the week because i have hundreds of exams coming up and need to start focusing and revising. I have a french writing exam on Wednesday and i am almost ready for it. (touch wood)

RocknRoll Part II

At the moment i am really feeling the 'Grunge/RocknRoll' trend, i don't really know why i just think its quite me atm and how i am feeling to express my emotions of whatever. Not too sure really. But anyway, you can see from the link above to the asos page the whole grunge trend and what its all about. Im in love with anything that has studs and spikes etc. I know topshop have a lush gold studded bracelet as i bagged it a couple of days ago.

Double cross necklace

As you can see from the pictures the studded bracelet is very Rock and Roll and it was relatively cheap at only £7.50! However, it can dig into your wrist it can hurt you! I picked up this gold double cross necklace when i was in topshop the other and and they have loads of different cross/ religious orientated jewelry in there at the moment and i personally really like it. I tend to change from gold to silver and vise verse when it comes to jewelry but i defiantly think these piece stand out that bit more in gold. For something to have a 'Gunge/RocknRoll' feel to it doesn't have to have studs or be religious, there are hundreds or novelty tees, over sized tops along with vintage Levi shorts i think, if they are paired with the right thing are all following the trend.

RocknRoll

So this is the leather jacket i decided to get in the end from Top shop. I chose this one in the end because it is a little bit thicker than all of the others i tried on, and seeing as it is meant to get much colder i thought is was most sensible to go for that option! It wasn't to expensive at £55, which i guess is you average price for a jacket these days. I like the fact that it has two collars on it adds more of a 'grundge/rock n roll' flare to it. However i did want a leather jacket with studs on but could not find one anywhere so i may just do to some handy diy and stick some on. (please leave a comment if you know anywhere that sells sew on/iron on studs)  

I had wanted a leather jacket for ages and ages now because i think there are so easy to wear and go with everything in my wardrobe!

 And this burgundy hat is my life saver on certain days! I think its amazing, my mum got if for me for crimbo. (have no idea where from though) Its perfect for those days when you don't have enough time to do your hair/ need to rush someone/ when its raining etc.. I don't know what i would do without it sometimes. Flung it on this morning when i went to run some errands and was running slightly late- no surprise there.

I added a scarf from River Island which i picked up for a 5er- absolute bargain if you ask me, it goes with everything as well which always helps.

This & That

Yesterday i popped in town too meet up with my friends to go last minuet shopping to try and find an outfit, i hate leaving it untill last minuet and going to the shops because i know i will never find something and if i do then it will not be in stock in my size. Anyway, getting back to the point of this post, they weren't due in town for a while so i decided to treat myself to a clinique foundation, and it is amazing. The women asked me a load of different questions about my skin, tried on loads of colours and different types of foundations and in the end she recommended this one.

I would say its quite posh in its little glass bottle and that may be my only concern as i can get quite clumsy and and down want to break it as i would be soo annoyed at myself! But i would defiantly buy it again at £21.50- i was expecting it to be more as it is a moisturizer aswell. And in clinique, if you buy two products you get a free eye shadow palet and i couldnt resist. I was in great need of a new mascara so i got the high definition lash brush one. And again it is a great product.

          

This is the free eye shadow kit worth £25, love the three step eye too, comes in really handy.

As you can see from the brush, it is made up of two different brushes, one too lengthen and the other to define etc. Its think its also really good that they show on the box how to too that. It was not too pricey at £16.50 which always helps.
The eye shadow kit comes in two colours, green or lilac. I was far to indecisive and didn't know which one to have so the lady tested the lilac one on me and i really liked it.
I think that the packaging of clinique make-up is quite traditional with the colours that are used, its suitable for any ages person.
